Join locals, Anney or Jane, for a walking tour of beautiful Merrickville located on the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore Merrickville’s unique artists’ community, local foodie spots and over 225 years of history. You will enjoy meeting local artists, hearing some of the stories, seeing the historic sites, sampling local fare and visiting some of the delightful shops!

We offer guided walking tours, which are approximately 1.5 hours in length (and about 2 km in distance), so wear comfortable shoes and bring along a refillable water bottle!  Please note that bookings are available 24 hours in advance; however, we are happy to try to fit you in at the last minute!  Email us or call us, if that is the case.

Historic |  You will get a sense of Merrickville’s rich history, complete with architectural highlights and fascinating stories that will make you love the village all that much more.  This may include a private tour of the Blockhouse Museum, depending upon the time of year.  $20 per person.

Local Artists, Food & Shops | Merrickville is home to a thriving artists’ community from pottery and sculpture to jewelry, textiles, glassblowing, photography and paintings. Local fare includes such delicacies as award-winning handmade mustards, butter tarts, homemade ice cream and gelato, sauces and more!  All these are served up in the restaurants or available in the nearby shops.  $31 per person.
